2012 Lights. Camera. Help. Nonprofit Film Festival
A three day film festival that celebrates the very best PSAs, short films and features that focus on the good happening in our world.
Lights. Camera. Help. created the world’s first cause-driven film festival where a portion of the proceeds go to the causes represented in the winning films. In the course of three years, over 500 features, PSAs, and short films have been submitted to the festival.
Since 2009, we have showcased 75 exceptional films from all over the world and given over $7,000 in awards to nonprofit organizations.
In addition to producing an annual film festival, Lights. Camera. Help. provides several other services to the community. Our educational programing is designed to teach nonprofits about the power of filmmaking and how they can create a film that will make a difference for their cause.
We also highlight films throughout the year at screenings here in Austin and throughout the country. Additionally, we work to match filmmakers up with nonprofits to create great films. Recently we hosted the Film Frenzy in conjunction with the Alamo Drafthouse where 10 filmmaking teams competed to make films for causes in our community.
